More than you should want to know about the author

Widely acknowledged for his
contributions to the Windows community, Paul Thurrott is the News
Editor for
Windows & .NET Magazine and
Connected Home Magazine. Through his work with these magazines
and various online publications, Paul reaches over one million
readers every month. He is also the
author of over a dozen
books about Windows and related technologies, including such
titles as Visual InterDev 6 Unleashed and VBScript for the World
Wide Web. As the person that
broke the news of Windows XP's existence to the world, Paul
has been covering this product since late 1999 (when it was still
known as "Neptune") through his daily news stories in
WinInfo
and more extensive coverage at the
SuperSite
for Windows.
After living in Phoenix, Arizona for
over six years, Paul returned to his home town of
Dedham, Massachusetts in late 1999 with his wife Stephanie and son Mark.
Paul and Steph had a second beautiful child, Kelly, in late 2001.
